Changle Song has started his PhD with Emily Moylan and David Levinson on emergency logistics
Amir Hosein Valadkhani was awarded his MPhil entitled Dynamic Control and Modelling of Ride-Sourcing Systems in Large Urban Cities.
Dr. Amir Samimi (previously a Research Fellow at TransportLab) started at TfNSW as a Strategic Model Developer.
Awards, Accolades and Memberships
Jennifer Kent's paper "The inevitability of automobility: how private car use is perpetuated in a greenfield housing estate", presented at the World Symposium on Transport and Land Use Research 2021, 9-13 August 2021 was awarded the David Levinson Best Paper Award Honorable Mention.
Jennifer Kent was elected to the Executive Committee of the Australasian Transportation Research Forum.
Somwrita Sarkar has joined the editorial board of Environment and Planning B: Urban Analytics and City Science.
Hamish Turner has won the ITEANZ-Trafficworks Student Award for the University of Sydney.
Tingsen (Tim) Xian and Changle Song have been awarded iMOVE Top-up Scholarships for their PhD projects on Bus Performance Assessment using GTFS data and Emergency Facilities and Logistics respectively

Reports and Projects
Reducing pedestrian crashes through better intersection design and Strategic scheduling and deployment of random breath and drug testing operations for the Road Safety Innovation Fund are underway.
Professor David Levinson, Professor Michael Bell, Dr Mohsen Ramezani, Professor Dr Kay Axhausen, and Professor Dr Hai Yang were awarded ARC DP220100882 on Design of micro-decisions in automated transport.
Together with John Nelson (University of Sydney Business School) and Sotoris Vardoulakis (Australian National University, as well as contributions from Transport for NSW, Jennifer Kent was part of a successful bid to the Australian Research Council's Linkage Projects scheme which awarded $1.03 million in case and in kind contributions to study "Promoting active travel and public transport for a post-pandemic world". The study will commence in April 2022.
Efficacy and Value In ExpeDited out of hospital arrEst care ANd ECMO CPR (ECPR) The EVIDENCE Study, funded through NSW Health/Translational Research Grants Scheme (Dennis M, Burns B, Keech A, Moylan E) is underway.
